PLATINUM CHARITIES

Running for Premature Babies

26,000 babies are born prematurely each year, with many relying on cutting edge neonatal equipment to survive.

Running for Premature Babies provides life-saving neonatal equipment giving sick and premature babies a better chance of survival.

Since the charity was founded in memory of baby triplets Henry, Jasper and Evan Smith, Running for Premature Babies has raised over $7 million, providing over 150 pieces of life-saving equipment to neonatal units around Australia, and funding ground-breaking research into the care of premature babies. It is estimated that over 9,000 babies have directly benefitted from the charity’s work.

Join Running for Premature Babies in the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival to celebrate a survivor of prematurity, to honour a baby who has died, or simply to support a cause that will make a tangible difference to families around Australia.

You’ll get to experience the incredible camaraderie of our team and will feel amazing crossing the line knowing you’ve turned an incredible personal achievement into one that is life-giving too.
