Can I run the Virtual Melbourne Marathon anywhere?
Yes, you are able to complete the required distance wherever you wish, keeping in mind restrictions and safety of yourself and others.
When do registrations for the Virtual Melbourne Marathon close?
Registrations for our virtual event close on Friday 4 December 2020.
Do I have to complete my distance in one run?
Yes, you are required to complete your distance in one run. At this stage the Victorian Roadmap has no restrictions on exercise limits for December when the Virtual Marathon is scheduled, subject to public health advice. We will continue to follow closely the advice of the DHHS and adapt if required but at this stage we are hoping all our Virtual Marathon participants can smash out their chosen distance in one run.
If you are running outside Victoria, please adhere to your local guidelines.
Is there a time limit or cut off for the Virtual events?
Entrants will have 9 days to complete the event. The Virtual event will begin on Saturday 5th December at 00:01 and end on Sunday 13th December at 23:59 AEST. There is no time limit for each distance.
Are overseas runners able to participate in the Virtual Melbourne Marathon? If so, how do you ship our medal internationally?
Yes, of course our overseas runners are able to participate, and yes we will post the desired medal overseas.
Remember, wherever you run please follow local guidelines and run safe.
The Melbourne Marathon respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Bunurong Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation and pays respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We ask that wherever you are running you show awareness of, and respect for, the Aboriginal Traditional Owners of the land.
