Two New Ways to Get Involved This Race Weekend

Whether you’re 6 or 60, Race Weekend just got a whole lot more exciting. We’re thrilled to announce the launch of two new events designed to get even more people moving, smiling, and crossing that iconic MCG finish line – no marathon required.

The Chobani Fit Walk

2.5km | Sunday 12 October
Say hello to The Chobani Fit Walk — all about good energy, community vibes, and experiencing the magic of the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival in a more accessible way. It’s the perfect option for first-timers, families, or anyone who just wants to be part of the atmosphere and finish on the hallowed turf of the ‘G.

Thanks to Chobani Fit, we’re serving up an event that’s Fit For All — whether you’re walking, strutting or power-strolling your way to the finish line.

The Bupa Healthy Cities Mini Marathon

1km | Saturday 11 October
Big cheer zones, little legs, and major memories — the Bupa Healthy Cities Mini Marathon is a 1km fun run for kids aged 12 and under. Taking place around the MCG precinct on the Saturday of Race Weekend, this bite-sized event gives the next generation of runners their very own moment to shine. Every finisher will earn a medal, and every parent gets to cry happy tears.

Proudly presented by Bupa as part of their Healthy Cities movement, the Mini Marathon is a celebration of active, happy, healthy kids.

Why We’re Excited

These two events are about more than distance – they’re about connection, celebration, and making sure everyone has the chance to be part of the Festival.

Whether you’re crossing the finish line with your kids, walking with your crew, or cheering from the sidelines – we can’t wait to see you there.
