Help us deliver the 2025 Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival on Sunday 12th October 2025. Volunteering is a great way to experience Australia’s premier marathon event from behind the scenes and meet new people. There are variety of volunteer roles outlined below, with volunteers required on Sunday 12th October, from 4:45AM – 2:30PM. The allocation of roles will be at random and although the event will try to accommodate preferences where possible, this is not guaranteed.

• Volunteering will grant you access to an entry for the 2026 event, but does not waive the entry fee.
• All volunteers that apply will be positioned either inside or in the proximity of the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
• Volunteers will be provided an Official Volunteer Shirt, Hat and lunch on the day.
• Volunteer roles will be allocated at random. If you wish to volunteer with someone else, please include their full name in the “Tell us why you would make a great volunteer at the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival’ section.
• Earliest potential start time will be 4:45am.
• All volunteer should expect to finish no earlier than 2:15pm.
• If you are part of a volunteer group that is already supporting the event, please do not apply.
