Need to Transfer Your Entry? Here’s What You Need To Know
We understand that plans change, which is why we’re offering flexible options for our runners through the official Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival Transfer Period, open from 1 August to 15 August.
If you’re no longer able to participate, you can transfer your registration to a friend or family member easily and securely through our official registration platform, ACTIVE.
Important:
All transfers must be processed through ACTIVE.
If someone is requesting your payment or personal details outside of this platform – it’s not valid, and it’s not safe. Please don’t engage.
What You Need to Know:
- The transfer window is open from 1 – 15 August
- Transfers can only be made via your ACTIVE account
- Entry fees are paid directly through the secure platform
- Transfers can only be made within the same race category (ie Marathon to Marathon, Half Marathon to Half Marathon)
How to Transfer Your Entry
Transfers must be completed via myevents.active.com. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Original Participant – Initiate the Transfer
- Log into My Events
- Click Transfer registration
- Enter your recipient’s email address (twice to confirm)
- Click Submit
Step 2: New Participant – Accept the Transfer
- Open the email titled: Claim your registration for [event name]
- Click Claim registration
- Log in or create a new ACTIVE account
- Agree to the Terms of Use and Event T&Cs
- Complete the registration form
- Enter payment details and click Complete

No problem. We offer flexible cancellation options right up until two weeks out from Race Day.
