Reasons to run…

A word from some of our charities participating in this year’s Medibank Melbourne Marathon Festival…

RUN FOR THOSE THAT CAN’T

Fundraise for JMB and help us to help young people living with Acquired Brain Injury. Even a small amount can make a big difference.

Eleven years ago James Macready-Bryan’s life changed forever. On his 20th birthday James was the victim of a violent assault that caused catastrophic brain injury, leaving him profoundly and permanently disabled, unable to speak, unable to eat, unable to walk. The JMB Foundation was set up initially to raise funds for James. 11- years on, JMB helps many more young Australians living with ABIs whose needs can’t be met by government funding. JMB helps to fill a funding gap so these young people can experience a better level of care and comfort, and an improved quality of life.

Join the JMB team for your Melbourne Marathon event and run for those who can’t. Run in a free JMB singlet and help us to raise awareness.

WHO ARE YOU RUNNING FOR?

Red Cross Heroes run for people in crisis here at home and further afield. From families recovering from disaster to elderly and isolated Australians, from teenagers facing homelessness to communities living without basic essentials like clean water.

Red Cross is working to reduce suffering, through the power of people helping people. That could include you!

Join our team of champions and soar across the finish line knowing you’ve made life-changing services possible; like a daily phone call to check on someone who is isolated or practical support to get someone back on their feet after disaster strikes.
