Please note, the VIR package is only available for the Marathonn Half Marathon  & 10km Run events in 2021. VIR is not available to those competing in shorter distances in 2021.

The VIR Package includes all of the standard entry inclusions in addition to the above.

The Very Important Runner (VIR) area will open at 5:30am. Access is via Gate 1 at the MCG. The VIR room is held in the Harrison Room on Level 2. Please follow the signage.

More information on what to expect on race day will be sent to VIR participants closer to race day.

Wait List

The VIR experience is expected to sell out again for the 2021 event. Once the VIR registrations have reached capacity, please email enquiries@melbournemarathon.com.au if you have registered in the marathon, half marathon or 10km Run events and wish to be put on a wait-list to upgrade to a VIR.
